Stevo PendarovskiHead of State, President of the Republic of North Macedonia

He graduated at the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus”, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius”, Skopje and obtained M.A. and Ph.D. from the Institute for Political, Legal and Sociological Research at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” – Skopje.

On 12 May 2019, by giving a solemn statement in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski officially took over the Office of Head of State.

Jeton ShaqiriMinister of Education and Science

Jeton Shaqiri was born on March 17, 1987 in Struga, where he completed primary and secondary school.
In 2005 he enrolled at the Faculty of Economics at the State University of Tetovo, where he graduated in 2008.
In 2008 he enrolled on the postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics at the International University in Struga, where in 2010 he received his master`s degree in economics.
In 2010 he enrolled on his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana, Republic of Albania and on September 16, 2016 he defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "Banking supervision and the challenges of implementing Basel II and Basel III in the Republic of Macedonia. (Analysis according to the lessons from the financial crisis from 2008-2009).
He started to gain his experience as a lecturer for a group of economics subjects at a very young age.
In the period from September 1, 2008 to November 12, 2010, as a junior assistant, he collaborates on a group of subjects in the field of economics at the Faculty of Economics at the International University of Struga.
From November 12, 2010 to December 6, 2013 as an assistant he collaborated on a group of subjects in the field of economics at the Faculty of Economics at the International University of Struga.
From December 6, 2013 to November 29, 2016 he was hired as an assistant doctoral student at the same faculty.
Until November 29, 2016, he was an assistant professor in a group of subjects in the field of economics at the Faculty of Economics at the International University of Struga.
In the period from September 2009 to June 2018, he was the head of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the International University of Struga.
He showed his managerial skills in the successful management of PUC "Proakva" - Struga and PUC "Vodovod i kanalizacija" - Struga.
From June 2018 until December 2019 he was the director of PUC "Proakva" in Struga, and from January to August 2020 he was the director of PUC "Vodovod i kanalizacija" - Struga.
From August 30, 2020, he held the position of Minister of Information Society and Administration in the second term of the Government led by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
Since January 16, 2022, he has been the Minister of Education and Science.
In the period from 2008 to 2016 he was a member of the organizing board of several international scientific gatherings. He participated in many professional trainings and conferences.
He is the author of several papers in the field of economics and finance.
He speaks Albanian, Macedonian and English.

Ratko DuevDean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje

Dr. Duev was born on the 26th of June, 1970 in Veles, Macedonia. From 1999 to 2001 works as an assistant researcher at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts at the Center for Areal Linguistics, where he continues to work as an external associate. From 2020 is a full professor at the Institute for Classical Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje.
He participated in several international and domestic projects led by MASA and the Ministry of Culture. He has lectured at universities in Italy, France, Serbia, Croatia and BiH.
He performed several functions as head of the Institute for Classical Studies (18. I 2012–17. IX 2013) and vice dean for finance at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje (15. IX 2013–15. IX 2017). He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje in the period from September 1, 2017 to September 1, 2021.
He is the editor of over 800 editions of the Faculty of Philosophy, MANU, the projects “Anthology of World Poetry”, “World Literary Heritage”, “Stars of World Literature”.
In five terms from 2012 to 2016 he was chairman of the Publishing Commission of the Ministry of Culture. In the period from 2015 to 2016, he also chaired the National Commission for Textbooks of the Ministry of Education and Science.
He was also a member of the Board for awarding the state award “St. Kliment Ohridski”(2012–2013) and the state award “11 October” (2014–2015).
Research interests: classical mythology, ancient religions, mycenology, Greek epic poetry, ancient music.

In addition, Dr. Elizbeta Tomevska-Ilievska, as an educational expert, evaluator and researcher was involved in national and international projects and numerous scientific research. She participates in many activities related to educational policy in the field of primary and secondary vocational education and training, and in improving language literacy in early school age in the Republic of Macedonia.
